This day in history...Jan 21

A bit of a different threesome today, with two absolute icons of aviation involved.

Starting back in 1970, the culmination of a problem fraught development and manufacture, Boeings 747 had one last gremlin to throw at the world, as the proposed maiden commercial flight from New York to London was delayed due to technical issues.

Another route story for the next event and the second icon in the form of Concorde when scheduled flights with the aircraft began on the London–Bahrain (British Airways) and Paris–Rio (via Dakar) routes (Air France) in 1976.

Finally a small Puerto Rican airline Caribbean Sun Airlines commenced operations in 2003 later to be called World Atlantic Airlines as below.
