Today in history has a definite Dutch feel about it!
First of all we go back to 1955 and the first of the Dutch influences today as Fokker's F27 made its first flight.
1971 saw one of aviations most notorious and arguably interesting events, the full facts of which are still unclear today. Hijacker D.B. Cooper parachuted from a Northwest Orient Airlines B.727 at 10,000 feet over Washington state with $200,000 in ransom. Stories abound as to wether he made it or not!
Much closer in time now and we are back in the Netherlands but not in a good way for Dutch airline Denim who had its operating licence revoked today in 2016.
