This day in history...Feb 7

A busy day today spanning over 40 years.

First off, in 1966 Air Charter was established under the name SAFA

One year later and UTair was created as the Tyumen Civil Aviation Division.

1972 saw Aeroflot introduce the TU154 into service.

Continuing with the (ex?) Soviet feel, in 1991 it was announced that Interflug would be liquidated.

2002 and Air Afrique ceased operations.

Finally for today we are off to Greece, but unfortunately not on Alexandair as they ceased trading today in 2007.
