A bumper edition to finish of the month.
1977 is the starting point for us and for Comair which was founded as Wings Airways that year.
In an interesting connection in numbers McDonnell Douglas sent the first MD83 into the skies this day in 1983.
1989 saw Northwest become the launch customer for the Boeing 747-400
However 21 years later to the day this same airline ceased to exist having been taken over by Delta.
fly540 started scheduled operations in 2011
In 2012 the German airline Blue Wings didn't have such a positive day as they ceased operations.
